You served your country. Now let your coverage serve your family.
Veterans have life insurance options most civilians never get, but the window to use some of them is limited, and VA programs alone often are not enough to fully protect a family. As an independent broker, I help veterans understand what the VA offers, what it covers, where the gaps are, and how private coverage can fill them. Bluebell Insurance USA is an independent brokerage and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency.
- Free review of your SGLI / VGLI / VALife situation, no obligation
- Level premiums that never increase, unlike VGLI age-band pricing

How it works
- 01We review what you currently have: SGLI, VGLI, VALife, or nothing at all
- 02We map the gaps: coverage amount, premium growth, waiting periods, spouse protection
- 03We compare private options across 9+ carriers, including no-exam paths for service-connected conditions
- 04You keep what serves you, replace what does not, and add what is missing
Key Benefits
In depth
Here is what the VA actually offers, in plain terms. SGLI covers you while you serve, up to $500,000, but it ends 120 days after separation. VGLI lets you convert that coverage after you leave, with no health questions if you apply within 240 days of separation, but premiums increase every five years as you age. VALife, launched in 2023, offers guaranteed-acceptance whole life up to $40,000 for veterans with any service-connected disability rating (0 to 100%), with no medical exam, though the full benefit only kicks in after a two-year waiting period.
Those programs are valuable, and for many veterans they are the right foundation. But notice the gaps: VALife caps at $40,000, which rarely covers a mortgage or income replacement. VGLI gets expensive fast as you age. And none of these programs cover your spouse after service.
That is where an independent review earns its keep. Depending on your age, health, and disability rating, private term, whole life, or final expense coverage can be cheaper, larger, or faster-paying than the VA route, or the smartest answer may be keeping your VA coverage and simply adding to it. I will tell you either way, because I work for you, not for a carrier and not for the government.
